Adult Reading Club is a club for adults who can't read good. That's you! Who exactly? You went to school, you finished or not, you were taught to read, you know how to sound out the letters but still reading is hard work, it's tiring trying to figure out the unknown words. If that's how reading feels to you, so glad you're here. Let's practice the skill of reading together!

Why should you listen to me?

Well, I'm just so keen on reading - I think it is one of life's greatest pleasures and rewards, and I think everyone deserves to be able to do it.
My name is Talia, and teaching people to read better is the most important thing in the world to me.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and Comparative Cultural and Literature Studies - that's a lot of literature. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning - that's some learning about learning. And I have multiple certificates in Structured Literacy education - that's The Science of Reading and full of things you missed out on learning in high school. I worked as a high school English teacher and have seen first hand the lack of support offered to students struggling with reading.
That's why I want to help you now!
Just because school is over and you are an adult, it's not too late to learn and practice the skills you missed out on in school.
